2008 – A Year of Eating Right and Exercise!

I’ve been slacking a lot in eating right and exercising. Finally realized that aside from “general health,” I did not have any tangible goals set … which had previously always given me a lot of focus and drive. So let’s see, psycho brother’s wedding is April 19th. That’s 65 days away (including today). And since we don’t get along, I have absolutely no responsibilities at the wedding (ie, no setting up, no being the camera person, etc). I get to just show up and ENJOY… especially the open bar, bwahah. Also plan on taking coworker Chris R. as my date too. So I wanna look hot at the wedding since it’s a big family affair and I just love making my relatives bite their tongues from the years of calling me ugly and fat.

For the next couple months, I will try to post my daily menus/exercise. Exercise goal is about 2500 minutes in 65 days, which is ~40 minutes of exercise everyday. Pretty do-able.

Today’s food:


Breakfast (9am)
2 eggs over easy w/ grits (lightly sprayed with ICBINB).


Snack (11am)
Yum Mango! Right now my my teeth are really sore, so it was quite satisfying to gnaw into a whole mango.. hehe I feel like a baby who is teething right now.


Lunch (1pm)
Peas + Mushroom w/ carved roasted chicken (sprinkled with habanero tabasco sauce)


Snack (3pm)
Persimmon

Bowl of Lentil soup … guess my lunch was not that filling bc I was rather hungry at this point and had this unplanned soup. It was way too filling though and put me to sleep, causing me to oversleep and miss my gym class =(


Dinner (9pm)
Pan fried steak, roasted potatoes (w/ rosemary, EVOO + garlic salt), and salad with fat-free Thousand Island dressing


Snack (10:30pm)
Cherry “Ice Cream” … it’s just frozen cherries w/ a dash of water (didn’t have any milk left) + splenda, then blended. I was pretty satisfied from dinner, but I have a sore (or something) at the back of my mouth and wanted something cold to alleviate it.

Oh and by the way, since everyone kept mocking me about my usage of paperplates, look…I am using real plates now!!!! Happy now?? :p
